The Jindabyne Chamber of Commerce was first established in 1980 as a forum for local business people to deal with issues impacting on the Jindabyne Business community. At that time, the main issue with which the Chamber was concerned was the Skitube development. The Chamber went into recess in 1991 but was re-established in 1993. It has continued since that time.
A business forum that provides the leadership and empowerment to encourage and facilitate opportunities that benefit the business community of Jindabyne and the Snowy River Shire.
- To operate a sustainable Chamber of Commerce which benefits the business community of Jindabyne.
- To operate in an efficient and effective manner by having in place an appropriate management structure, guidelines and policies that enable the roles, functions and processes of the chamber to be understood and implemented.
- To promote awareness of the services offered by Jindabyne Chamber of Commerce Inc. amongst memebers, sponsors and other relevant stakeholders.
- To achieve an increased diversity and number of members of the Chamber through promotion of the value of services offered.
- To take a leadership role and work towards a more effecitve cooperation with other Chamber members in the region.
- To reate a regular meeting forum that members are motivated to attend as they find them informative and interesting.
- To develop a series of opportunities and benefits which assist the development of Jindabyne and the interests of Chamber members.

Worked with Combined Chamber towards a solution to our public transport crisis
Supported the Flowing Festival
Support to the Employee of Choice Award recognising over 150 winter staff.
Supported Winter Staff Welcoming EXPO
2007
Developed a new Chamber logo, website, membership stickers
Developed a name change to Lake Jindabyne Chamber of Commerce
Successfully gained a small equiptment Grant for $2,000.
Supported the Flowing Festival

Supported Winter Staff Welcoming EXPO
Attended NSW Chamber of Commerce Seminar in Sydney, which was a great opportunity to meet with other Chambers and gain an insight into how to better our Chamber.
Attended local Event in Cooma which our Executive Committee was able to chat with Prime Minister John Howard about local issues.
2006
A future vision was estabilshed with the implementation of a succession plan developed via the puchase of a Chamber laptop.
A telephone line was installed into our Secretaries office to answer members calls and general enquiries.
Support to the Employee of Choice Award recognising over 180 winter staff.
Supported Winter Staff Welcoming EXPO
Prior The estabilishment of the Snowy Region Visitors Centre.
The establishment of toilet facilities on the Lake Jindabyne foreshore.
Providing community comment on a range of issues, including; the establishment of a McDonalds, traffic management issues, the plan of management for KNP.
Customer service standards and awards in the area.
Development of infrastructure, including the shared pathway and the cycle track.
The coordination and implementation of events.
